Each aligner is fabricated from a durable plastic material and shaped precisely to fit the individual patient’s dentition. Treatment proceeds through a sequential series of these aligners, with each successive tray advancing the teeth incrementally closer to proper alignment. Patients are advised to wear their aligners for twenty hours per day, and each tray is typically replaced with the next in the series approximately every two weeks.
